Le Cauchemar D'innsmouth - H.P. Lovecraft This story took me longer to get through than it should have, and I think reading it in French was actually a mistake. The dialectal character of the speech of the old madman slowed me down a bit, and this particular story contains sooo many descriptions of buildings and streets that I sometimes started skimming. Something Lovecraft always does, and which annoys me, is that he gives the reader the solution to the mystery rather early on, but does not let his narrator believe it until the very end. That was the case of this story as well, but the ending, which was rather great, earned it three stars instead of two.
