Special Forces - Mercenaries Part I (Special Forces, #2 part 1) - Aleksandr Voinov, Marquesate, Vashtan Well, this wasn't as good as Soldiers. It's still pretty good, I liked it immensely actually (as far as I remember), because I love it when there's problems, misery, heartache and guilt. That's pretty much what I live for in literature, and those are kind of ubiquitous in Mercenaries.

However, I didn't much care for the added characters. The only exciting new one was Hooch, the rest - meh. I've always found all interaction with the... Baroness (right? or what is she?) tedious. Also, this book begins to show how the decline of the series, with more and more meaningless passages.
