I have a thing for the Arthurian Legend, and this is the first modern version of it that I've read. If I were to sum it up in one word, I think it would have to be "cute". It's really cute. Like, "Love Actually"-cute. I would have been delighted if this book could have kept its humour, dropped some of the high morals, and added some blood and slaughter. But as it is, it is a very funny, easy-going book that luckily isn't very chaste. It did bother me that some of the interactions are rather juvenile and that people argue over things that seem non-existent. If you are going to have your characters bicker about something for 4 pages, give them something to bicker about. Something that's worth getting upset about. It can't be that very difficult.
