This is actually... kind of brave. I'm surprised to find a book in this genre featuring a "gentle giant" written from said gentle giant's perspective, with all of his fabulously intricate mental abilities (ehem). I don't think this would have worked for a longer book, but for a novella type thing, it's quite different and rather charming. The idea about shutting up when you don't get something so that people don't realize just how stupid you are is very good advice.
