Possession - A.S. Byatt I did enjoy this book, but it has its weaknesses. Not being all that much into poetry, I found the long poems excruciatingly boring. I am no judge of poetry, but they didn't look very good to me... The idea and the story is very good, but the constant sneering remarks about the American feminists got a bit annoying in the end, and some small things made me react here and there. Things that affected credibility. I like the structure of the book, with now-narrative and past-narrative, letters, diaries, and (unfortunately) poems. There is just something lacking.
Funny how the women in the book are all extremes or stereotypes though. Come to think of it, perhaps all the characters are...
